Marine engines fail
gradually.
Andrias sees
it coming.

Your gauges show temperature. They don't show what's about to happen.

Andrias is a predictive intelligence layer for marine engines. It watches thermal behavior, tracks synchronization across all engines, and warns captains before a factory alarm ever triggers.

Gauges: NORMAL. Andrias already knew.

In bench simulation on real embedded silicon, Andrias detected a rising thermal trajectory and issued its first advisory at the onset of trolling — while all four engine gauges were still reading NORMAL. The simulated ECU derate did not occur until 21 minutes of simulation time later. This result was reproduced across two independent runs with near-identical timing. Field validation on a real vessel is in progress.

An intelligent monitoring system
for marine engines

Andrias is an intelligent monitoring and protection system for marine engines and multi-engine vessels. It installs alongside your existing gauges, watches how your engines behave, and warns you before problems occur.

Your existing gauges show temperature and RPM. That is data. Andrias adds interpretation — analyzing what that data means, how it is changing, and how each engine compares to the others.

Nothing on your vessel is modified or controlled. Andrias observes, analyzes, and informs. Installation takes an afternoon. Sensors thread into existing sender ports. Your factory gauges keep working exactly as before.

01
Watches thermal behavior
Monitors coolant temperature on every engine continuously — tracking not just the value but the rate of change per second.
02
Tracks synchronization
Compares all engines against each other in real time. Detects when one engine begins diverging from the others — before it becomes a problem.
03
Predicts derates
Identifies rising thermal slope trends 8–12 minutes before the engine reaches the threshold where the ECU cuts power to protect itself.
04
Alerts captains early
Delivers CAUTION and CRITICAL alerts to the chartplotter, tablet, or phone — before factory alarms trigger, not after.
Four situations where
standard gauges fail you
These are not edge cases. They are the normal operating conditions of serious marine work.
01
Trolling damage
At 600–800 RPM, raw water pumps deliver 10–15% of rated flow. Heat builds slowly and steadily. Standard gauges show green — until they don't. By the time the alarm triggers, thermal fatigue has already occurred. Andrias tracks the slope of temperature rise and issues a warning during the buildup, not after the peak.
Advisory fires while gauges still read NORMAL
02
Thermal fatigue
Repeated heat cycles — WOT runs followed by idle, then trolling, then WOT again — accumulate stress in engine components over time. No single event causes failure. The sum does. Andrias records thermal history for every engine so you can see the accumulated load across a season, not just the current reading.
Scenario: 95°F saltwater and freshwater WOT
03
Engine divergence
On twin and quad-engine vessels, engines that look individually healthy can diverge — one running significantly hotter or working harder than the others. This causes steering imbalance, vibration, and accelerated wear on the overloaded engine. No single gauge shows you this. Andrias compares all engines simultaneously and detects divergence as it begins.
PCI detects before any single gauge alarms
04
Offshore reliability
Thirty miles offshore, an engine derate is not an inconvenience — it is a safety and financial emergency. Charter boats lose $3,000–$8,000 per cancelled day. Patrol vessels lose mission capability. Andrias gives you enough warning to act — throttle adjustment, course change, return to port — with time to choose.
8–12 minutes to act before factory alarm
The intelligence layer standard
dashboards don't have
Three layers of analysis running continuously — none of which exist in any standard marine instrument.
Propulsion Coherence Index (PCI)
A single number — 0 to 100% — that summarizes how well your entire propulsion system is synchronized. Computed from pairwise coherence analysis across every engine combination. The captain reads one number, not four gauges. When PCI drops, something is diverging. It's always watching.
Predictive Slope Analysis (PSA)
Andrias tracks the rate of temperature change per second — not just the temperature itself. A CAUTION alert triggers when the engine is heating faster than it should be, regardless of whether the absolute reading looks alarming yet. This is what delivers the 8–12 minute warning window.
Multi-engine coherence comparison
Standard dashboards report each engine in isolation. Andrias calculates pairwise coherence comparisons across every engine combination simultaneously — detecting synchronization degradation as it begins rather than after it has caused a problem.

Keep full power.

Standard ECUs react after coolant exceeds threshold — cutting power to protect the engine. Andrias predicts thermal runaway 8–12 minutes early. The simulation runs real physics across five real-world scenarios at up to 30× speed.

Temperature sensors thread into existing coolant sender ports. The Andrias Edge Node mounts below deck on 12V vessel power. Factory gauges unchanged. No ECU access required.
No engine modifications
2
Analyze
Andrias computes thermal trends, engine-to-engine coherence, and predicted instability in real time. The Propulsion Coherence Index summarizes your entire propulsion system in one number.
Continuous computation
3
Alert
Captains see divergence and CAUTION alerts on their chartplotter, tablet, or phone — minutes ahead of factory alarms. Time to act, not react.
Chartplotter native
Built for high-stakes
marine operations
Charter fishing fleets
Protect revenue. Protect guests.
A charter boat that cannot run loses $3,000–$8,000 per day. Andrias catches thermal divergence before engine failures — keeping you on the water when it counts.
Patrol and law enforcement
Mission-ready, always.
Extended low-RPM patrol operations are hardest on engines. Andrias monitors thermal stability during exactly these conditions and flags stress before it compounds into a mission-ending failure.
Tournament and offshore fishing
Run harder with confidence.
Know your engines are synchronized before the throttles go down. Get CAUTION before CRITICAL. Focus on the fish, not the gauges.
High-hour sport fishers and yachts
One prevented failure pays for years.
Twin and quad-engine vessels accumulate thermal stress across seasons. Andrias tracks it so you know what your engines have actually been through.
Commercial operators
Fleet visibility at scale.
Monitor multiple vessels from a single dashboard. Track thermal health across your fleet and identify which boats need attention before they fail offshore.
Marine service yards
Data-driven service decisions.
Historical thermal records tell you what happened to an engine before it arrived at your dock — not what the captain remembers. Objective data for every service visit.
The engine's history,
before you open the hatch.
When a vessel comes in for service, Andrias hands you a full thermal record — peak temperatures, slope trends, burst interval drift, and fleet coherence history. You see exactly what happened before the customer called.
Pre-service thermal diagnosis
Know which engine ran hot and when before the hatch is open. PCI divergence shows up in the data before the captain notices anything wrong. Pull a full session report on any device in seconds.
Burst interval drift tracking
If an engine needed cooling bursts every 60 minutes six months ago and needs them every 35 minutes now, that's measurable cooling capacity loss — not a guess. Andrias logs every burst event with engine hours and temperature.
Post-repair validation
After an impeller replacement or heat exchanger flush, compare the new thermal baseline against the pre-repair record stored in the database. Quantifiable proof the repair worked — not an opinion.
